Ariennne,

I'm glad that you posted a note. You did a good job - I'd love to hear what your students were like. Do you think that your cooperating teacher is going to be a good model?

I am at Collins Elementary in a fourth-grade classroom, and the students are great! They seem so happy to see Erica and I when we walk into the room. We have not had much teaching offered, but it is still early. We went to an Art class with the kids last Monday and that was a blast. The teacher gave us copies of her lesson, and I love to recieve resources that I can use in the future. My cooperating teacher is very good at letting us make copies of her work as well. I do think that I could learn from her, just as I could from anyone, with enough time. I will also have a reminder sometimes of how not to talk to the children. I can learn good and bad from every cooperating teacher that I have been with. It is the amount of good and bad that varies with everyone, and this is human nature. She uses a wind chime to get the classes attention sometimes, and I will definetly use this technique sometimes in my future classroom as well. Erica and I have learned that we will be starting fractions with the class coming up next week so any input or ideas we could use would be greatly appreciated! Thanx :)
