Unit Plan for Social Studies

I am really excited because I have my topic for my unit already. I am working with Maggie this semester and we are at Grants Lick Elementary in a kindergarten class. Our topic is Presidents of the United States and have already found some great websites and books to help us out. If anyone has wonderful ideas please let us know. One can never have enough information.

Dawn, I am so happy for you that you guys already have your unit idea. Abby and I got ours too and we are doing economics so the same goes for you if you have any great ideas let us know and I will be sure to keep you guys in mind for the presidents idea. When I did my DLTA I read when Washinton crossed the Deleware. It is a little difficult for kindergarten but picture wise it has great illustrations. Good luck with this!!!

Hey Dawn... I was in the LRC (4th floor) of Steely yesterday getting stuff for our unit & we found tons and tons of cool resources that would work really well w/your topic! Also Alphabet soup is one of my favorite resource sites...I've included a link to their Presidents Unit Lesson Plans. Hope that helps. GoodLuck Keep us Updated :)
